Las Vegas has its first vegan food truck. For years, the city has had food trucks with vegan options, but vegan food trucks didn’t exist. That’s changing with the debut of The Juice Box LV, an organic vegan food truck in Las Vegas.
Juice Box, which has its brick and mortar shop in Southwest Las Vegas, is an omni fast casual spot focusing on organic cold pressed juices, smoothies and bowls, plus little extras like vegan baked goods.
“Because of what we offer and how everything is moving towards a vegan lifestyle, we wanted to make sure the vegan community living here and visiting Las Vegas has a vegan food truck option,” explains owner Aaron Bradley.
The Juice Box LV vegan food truck (which the team has named Lady Marmalade) will be serving Las Vegas with some of the Juice Box’s most popular items. Expect an assortment of organic, raw, cold-pressed juices as well as smoothies and bowls.
Smoothie options will include the Landslide (made with bananas, vegan cocoa powder and dates), Here Comes the Sun (pineapple, orange, carrot and strawberry), Groove is in the Heart (spinach, pineapple, kale and grape) and it’s best seller, Brass Monkey (bananas, mango, turmeric, ginger, peanut butter, agave nectar and cinnamon).
They will also offer their standard açai bowl with a choice of almond, coconut or hemp milk for the base. You can top the bowl with gluten-free granola, toasted coconut, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, pomegranate or fresh dragon fruit. The Juice Box LV vegan food truck is also offering vegan protein options to add to the bowls — hemp, pumpkin or soy.
According to Bradley, the plan is to park the truck at farmers markets, local sporting events and dispensaries around the city. Bradley is currently reaching out to partners to determine where the vegan food truck will park in Las Vegas. They will also be available for events and catering. Ultimately, Bradley wants a fleet of trucks to canvas the entire city to bring healthy and vegan options to places that don’t have healthy options easily accessible.
Expect the truck to hit the streets in the coming weeks.
Is the future of Vegas’ food truck and mobile restaurants vegan? In the past year, Las Vegas has seen a number of pop-ups hit markets and events, including Ruse, ERB’s Vegan Kitchen and the gourmet hot dog business, Phyto’s. There are whispers of even more options coming soon to the Valley.
